Course description

The goal of this course is to develop professional thinking, as well as to familiarize students with the basics of translation.
The ways of overcoming many lexical, lexico-grammatical, and semantic difficulties in professional texts translation are discussed. Different types of transformations in the translation of scientific texts from English into Ukrainian are also the object of consideration.
As a result of this course, the students are to know different approaches to the translation performance; independently expand and apply theoretical knowledge and practical skills.
