Biography

Born in 1952 in Lviv.  In 1969 finished Secondary School № 16 in Lviv. During 1972 – 1977 studied at the Faculty of Foreign Languages (French Philology) at the Ivan Franko National University in Lviv. During 1984 – 1987 underwent the post graguate courses at the Philological Faculty of the M. Lomonosov University in Moscow.
       Had scientific practice in 1995 at the French-Conte University (Bezanson, France); in 1997 and 2000 – in Angers University (France). 
       In 1989 defended the thesis for scholarly degree of Candidate of Philology titling “Adverbial Modifiers of Place and Space in Modern French Language” (Supervisor – Prof. T. B. Alisova). 
       1979 – worked as a Lecturer, since 1993 – as an Associate Professor of the Department of French Philology at the Ivan Franko National University in Lviv.
       Since 1999 – a Member of the Scientific Council of the Faculty of Foreign Languages.

Miscellaneous

Took part in many scientific conferences:
V-th All-Union Conference on Romance Philology (Kalinin, 1986) with the report of: “Formal-Semantic Correlation of the Adverbial Modifiers of Place and Local Adjectives in Modern French Language”;
VI-th All-Union Conference on Romance Philology (Voronezh, 1991) with the report of: “Functional Parallels of Adjectives and Adverbs of Place”.
