Arrival of French Magistrants
The Faculty of Foreign Languages and the Department of French Philology welcomed 5 magistrants from France. All of them, future teachers of French as a foreign language, came to Lviv through the Alliance Française NGO initiative to spread French language and culture, conduct classes with students and exchange and acquire professional skills in teaching. On April 2, they met with the Dean of the Faculty, Prof. Volodymyr Sulym, Head of the Department of French Philology, Prof. Roman Pomirko and director of NGO Alliance Francaise Nicolas Fasino. Cooperation within the framework of a joint agreement between the two institutions were under the discussion. As the Dean of the Faculty noted, the professional activity of native speakers is a powerful guarantee of increasing students’ motivation, deepening their sociolinguistic and cultural knowledge. And our guests will be able to get acquainted more closely with the Ukrainian way of life and culture.
