Research interests

A researcher of theoretical translation problems, translation means and history translation of Ukrainian fiction into English


An author of the following translations: of the novel by S.Vintsenz “On the height Uplands”, edition of “Chervona Kalyna”, 1997, and of the story by K.E.Porter “Circus”, edition of “Literatyrny Lviv”, 1995.

An author of scientific articles: “In English Sea towards Ukrainian word’, edition of “Dzwin”, 1995 and “The textbooks of Ukrainian languages by Y.Slavutych in the English world”.

Co-author of the textbook “Getting on in English”, Lviv, 1998 and six methodological manuals: “My Family”, “Everyday life”, “Student life’, “Ukraine’, “English-speaking countries’, “Travelling”.

Takes part in “Academic Writing” seminars.


Assistant of Foreign languages for Humanities department at Lviv national university named after Ivan Franko (from 20010.

            1990 – graduated English philology department of foreign languages faculty at Lviv state university named after Ivan Franko.

            1990-1992 – worked as a translator, an etching describer and a librarian at Art department of Lviv scientific library named after Vasyl Stefanyk.

            1992-1993 – an English assistant lecturer of Foreign languages department at Lviv veterinary academy.

            1993-1995 – an English assistant lecturer of Foreign languages department at Lviv commercial academy.

1996-1998 – participated in the workshops of higher school English teachers within the international programme of European Community “TEMPUS-TACIS’, including staying at coventry university (U.K.).

            1996-2001 – an English lecturer of Foreign languages department at national university “Lvivska polytechnika”.

A translator of foreign fiction into Ukrainian.
