Born in 1945 in Nancy (France) in the family of workers. In 1962 finished Secondary School in Zolochiv, Lviv Region. During 1962 – 1967 studied at the Faculty of Foreign Languages (French Philology) at the Ivan Franko National University in Lviv. From 1962 tо 1985 – worked as a Lecturer at the Department of French Philology. In 1983 defended the thesis for scholarly degrees of Candidate of Philology titling “Expression of Metaphoric Quantity and/or Intensity in Model N de N.” Since 1985 worked as an Associate Professor at the Department of Romance Philology.
