Biography

Yulia Sergijvna Belozerova was born in Zaporizhzhia on September 22, 19762. From 1983 to 1993, she attended Secondary School No. 5 in Zaporizhzhia, graduating with  high honors. In 1993, she studied at Zaporizhzhia State University in the Faculty of Foreign Languages, specializing in “German Language and Literature”. She got a  diploma with honors in 1998, qualifying as a philologist and a teacher of German and English.

Since 1998, she has worked at the Department of German Philology at Zaporizhzhia State University while also pursuing postgraduate studies. On April 14, 2005, she defended her PhD dissertation on the topic of “Cognitive-Discursive Conceptualization of Time in Modern German” in the specialty “Germanic Languages” (10.02.04)7. She was awarded the title of Associate Professor of the Department of German Philology and Translation at ZNU on April 14, 2011. Since September 1, 2014, she has been an Associate Professor at the Department of German Philology at Ivan Franko National University of Lviv.
