Зустріч студентів факультету іноземних мов Львівського національного університету імені Івана Франка з викладачем Університету міста Саппоро (Японія) Шінічіро Сакіхава
18 березня 2024 р. відбулася зустріч студентів факультету іноземних мов Львівського національного університету імені Івана Франка з викладачем Університету міста Саппоро (Японія) Шінічіро Сакіхава (Shinichiro Sakikawa).
Львівський університет представляли декан факультету іноземних мов доц. Любомир Бораковський, завідувач кафедри світової літератури, проф. Лідія Мацевко-Бекерська, студенти – Марія Тацинець, Антон Яремчук, Надія Заячук, Ольга Зубрицька.
Шінічіро Сакіхава-сан розповів про своє чудове місто, про Університет міста Саппоро, про деякі риси вдачі японців. Декан факультету іноземних мов доц. Любомир Бораковський відповів на питання гостя про Львівський університет, його структуру, формат навчання, а також про важливі проблеми мобілізації. Не оминули увагою аспекти вивчення і викладання іноземних мов та літератури.
В ході розмови зі студентами шановний Шінічіро Сакіхава-сан з увагою вислухав розповідь студентів про ті аспекти життя й навчання у Львівському університеті, які його цікавили. Зокрема, про те, що означає бути українцем, чи самовідданість і боротьба українців не надто ідеалістичні, чи варто продовжувати боротьбу, чи, можливо, краще перечекати війну. Також гостя цікавили питання, яким чином студенти допомагають своїй країні під час війни, чи вважають вони допомогу від інших країн, яку отримує Україна, достатньою. Під час розмови зі студентами викладач Університету міста Саппоро торкнувся питань значного історико-політичного масштабу, як-от: чи зміниться ситуація з допомогою Україні з боку США в разі перемоги одного з кандидатів, висловивши власні міркування про характер війни та загальний порядок у світі. Шінічіро Сакіхава-сан дізнався також про ставлення студентів до проблематики свободи, міграції, про їхнє життя в умовах війни, зокрема, чи існує втома через тривалий стрес, а також про плани молодих людей на майбутнє, про те, скільки часу вони проводять безпосередньо за навчанням, де планують реалізувати здобуту освіту. Деяка увага була зосереджена на засобах інформації, на особливостях отримання і сприймання новин, а також на ролі пропаганди у країні-агресорці.
Студенти розповіли про організацію навчального процесу, в тому числі про укриття, в яких вони перебувають під час повітряної тривоги. Шінічіро Сакіхава-сан порозмовляв зі студентами про деякі питання екології, політики, улюблені книги, про їхнє ставлення до аніме.
Марія Тацинець провела для шановного гостя екскурсію Головним корпусом Університету. Надія Заячук та Ольга Зубрицька розповіли про актуальні заходи, які організовують студенти через профком.
Для доброї пам’яті про знайомство та плідну бесіду декан факультету іноземних мов доц. Любомир Бораковський подарував гостеві сувеніри з логотипом Львівського університету.
На завершення зустрічі відбулося дружнє кавування Шінічіро Сакіхава зі студентами.
A meeting of students of the School of Foreign Languages of the Ivan Franko National University of Lviv with a lecturer from Sapporo University (Japan) Shinichiro Sakikawa
On 18 March 2024, students of the Faculty of Foreign Languages of Ivan Franko National University of Lviv met with Shinichiro Sakihawa, a lecturer at Sapporo University (Japan).
The University of Lviv was represented by the Dean of the Faculty of Foreign Languages, Associate Professor Liubomyr Borakovsky, Head of the Department of World Literature, Professor Lidiya Matsevko-Bekerska, students Maria Tatsynets, Anton Yaremchuk, Nadiya Zayachuk and Olha Zubrytska.
Shinichiro Sakikawa-san spoke about his wonderful city, Sapporo University, and some of the Japanese character traits. The Dean of the Faculty of Foreign Languages, Associate Professor Liubomyr Borakovsky, answered the guest’s questions about Lviv University, its structure, teaching format, and important issues of mobilization. The aspects of learning and teaching foreign languages and literature were also discussed.
During the conversation with the students, Shinichiro Sakikawa-san listened with attention to the students’ stories about the aspects of life and study at Lviv University that interested him. In particular, what it means to be a Ukrainian, whether the dedication and struggle of Ukrainians are not too idealistic, whether it is worth continuing the struggle, or perhaps it is better to wait out the war. The guest was also interested in how students help their country during the war, and whether they consider the help from other countries that Ukraine receives to be sufficient. During the conversation with the students, the Sapporo University professor touched upon issues of significant historical and political significance, such as whether the situation with US assistance to Ukraine would change if one of the candidates wins, and expressed his own views on the nature of the war and the general order in the world.
Shinichiro Sakikawa also learned about the students’ attitudes towards freedom, migration, their life during the war, in particular, whether there is fatigue due to prolonged stress, as well as about young people’s plans for the future, how much time they spend studying, where they plan to implement their education. Some attention was paid to the media, the peculiarities of receiving and perceiving news, and the role of propaganda in the aggressor country.
The students spoke about the organisation of the educational process, including the shelters they stay in during air raids. Shinichiro Sakikawa-san talked to the students about some issues of ecology, politics, favourite books, and their attitude to anime.
Mariia Tatsynets gave the distinguished guest a tour of the University’s Main Building. Nadiia Zaiachuk and Olga Zubrytska spoke about current events organised by students through the trade union.
As a good memory of the meeting and fruitful conversation, the Dean of the Faculty of Foreign Languages, Associate Professor Liubomyr Borakovskyi, presented the guest with souvenirs with the logo of Lviv University.
At the end of the meeting, Shinichiro Sakikawa had a friendly coffee with the students.
